Razed - Shiloh Walker

This is why I don't read contemporary romances. I really enjoyed the first one in this series but I almost quit on this a few times and when they finally revealed the "twist"

the female character had seen a friend get raped by her step-brother when she was 16 and she had not fought hard enough to see her get justice, even though the girl's scum bucket father took money from her step-dad to pretend it never happened

I felt like I was watching an ABC after-school special.

 

Oh and

her dead father invented something special so she's an heiress too!

This had to be my first book of 2015.
