Review
I love Arthurian stories and I love Mary Stewart so this should have been a winning combination. Instead it was just too damn wordy and I kept ducking out of our group read to cheat with other books. I also kept looking over my shoulder to see if anyone noticed I was cheating. Luckily I was not the only cheater, as my friend Jeannette pointed out (Thanks J. for assuaging my guilt! I will not mention the other cheater because some people are one book gals and don't do books on the side, no matter what the circumstances)
Maybe I just don't care that much about Merlin's early part of the story and just wanted them to get to Arthur--who knows.
